The Narcotics Division of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, along with other law enforcement agencies, have arrested 14 individuals as part of “Operation White Pony.”
According to The Innocence Project, in about 25% of DNA exonerated cases, Defendants made incriminating statements, confessed to the crime, or pled guilty to the charges against them.
On April 1, 2014, Governor Rick Scott signed multiple bills into law which will in many cases increase the potential penalty for those individuals convicted of sex crimes in Florida.
