Jennifer McAbee - Paralegal

Jennifer McAbee is a Certified Paralegal who has worked for Brown & Doherty, P.A. for over 13 years, assisting the Attorneys primarily with Criminal Defense in both State and Federal court and is also Mr. Brown’s personal Paralegal on all of his cases.

Jennifer graduated in 2006 with a BS degree in Merchandising and Business from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida.  Upon joining Brown & Doherty in 2007, Jennifer continued her education and obtained a Certification in Paralegal Studies from St. Petersburg College, Clearwater, Florida.  To further her knowledge in the legal field, Jennifer became certified by NALA as an Advanced Certified Paralegal and is also a Florida Registered Paralegal.

As a Paralegal, Jennifer assists the Attorneys in all aspects of both State and Federal trials.  She is involved in the entire trial process including assisting at trial with exhibits and witnesses.  One of Jennifer’s trials has been being the exhibit and witness coordinator for a Federal death case, the first in the Tampa division of the Middle District of Florida and only the third such trial in all of Florida.

In addition to her paralegal career, Jennifer enjoys spending quality time with her husband, her 9 year old daughter, 6 year old son, and their dog.
